51 Huntingwood Drive
A W Edwards has been awarded the contract to deliver a new hyperscale data centre development at 51 Huntingwood Drive, Huntingwood.
The new data centre will provide essential digital infrastructure services for businesses, government and the wider community through the secure storage and processing of cloud and electronic data. The project will also contribute to the growth of knowledge, technology and professional service jobs across Western Sydney.
Key features
The site is located within the Huntingwood Industrial Area in the Blacktown Local Government Area and is well connected to the wider regional road network via the Great Western Highway and the M4 and M7 Motorways.
The development will comprise five hyperscale data centre buildings (Shells A to E), each up to six storeys high, delivered across two stages. Two buildings will have a planned capacity of 48MW, while the remaining three buildings will each have a planned capacity of 100MW.

137 on-site car parking spaces, including three accessible spaces and ten bicycle spaces.
The project is expected to create approximately 1,333 jobs during construction and a further 276 full-time operational roles once complete. Following commissioning, the facility will operate and be staffed 24 hours a day.
Construction activities & progress
Construction of the new data centre at 51 Huntingwood Drive, Huntingwood commenced in 2023 and includes the following key activities delivered over two distinct phases:
Stage 1 (2023 to 2026)

Standard construction hours are:

Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 6:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am to 1:00pm
In line with our construction consent conditions, inaudible works may occur outside standard construction hours, without prior notice.
Any planned out-of-hours works will be communicated in advance and managed in accordance with approved out-of-hours work protocols.
